The winter of 2012/2013 is going on record as one of the warmest of all times. The warmth can either be causing havoc with a Zone 9 winter garden, or allow a fall garden to be extended months further than normal.
The good news is that with the highs being in the mid 80’s and lows not dropping bellow 60 for most of the winter so far, even peppers are still producing. The bad news is cool weather crops like lettuce are bolting to seed already, making them inedible for most.
